The Potty Sniffer pump is best located remotely outside of the toilet tank for quieter operation and to accommodate the widest array of toilet models.
A switch cable extension with screw terminal connectors and 15′ length of 4-conductor flat modular cable is included with all standard Potty Sniffer kits with longer lengths available as an add-on option (up to 120′).
The Sniffer pump has been verified to function acceptably with 60′ length 3/8″ O.D. tubing run and is capable of pumping water, in case of accidental suction, up to 15′ head height. For longer length tubing runs up to 120′, the main tubing run needs to be increased to 1/2″ O.D. using 1/2″ x 3/8″ straight push-to-connect adapters to reduce air flow resistance.

Push Button Switch Cable Extension
A button switch extension cable (15′ standard length) is included with each of our system install kits. Additional length can be added as a KIT-ADD option at the time of purchase to increase the length of the extension cable to meet your specific install needs. Color coded screw terminal connectors can be removed to allow for cable ends to be fished through small openings and passthrough holes during installation.
If needed, 4-conductor AWG 26 cable RJ11 telephone cable (available at most home improvement stores) can be used to make custom length cables if the cable purchased with the kit needs to be longer. Before moving the connectors to the new cable, make note of the existing wire colors and which terminal position each wire connects to. The red terminal represents the +12VDC power wire position.
For a stronger grip, strip the extension cable wires 1/4″ and fold them back over the conductor jacket before securing them to the screw terminal connector.
