To use the Potty Sniffer, simply press the blue illuminated push button before using the toilet. The button will turn green indicating that the Sniffer pump is running and will automatically turn off after the default 6-minute runtime is complete.
The system consists of three main components connected with small diameter tubing and low voltage cable:
- An air intake shroud that fits over the toilet overflow pipe
- A Sniffer pump, which can be located in-tank or remotely
- An air exhaust fitting that connects to sanitary plumbing or to the building exterior
Tubing and switch cable runs can be up to 60′ with regular tubing (up to 125′ with larger tubing) and can be fished through existing finished walls and flooring similarly to installing electrical, coax or network cable.
