Kit option to swap a standard overflow pipe air intake shroud for a venting plate style air intake. This option must be purchased along with a FULL or BASIC Potty Sniffer system kit for a standard overflow pipe equipped toilet.
Venting plate air intake assembly for toilets that won’t accept an air intake shroud or tubing holder clip, commercial toilets with flushometer valves, and RV toilets.
Each venting plate is 1/8″ thick and is installed between the toilet seat hinge brackets and the top surface of the toilet bowl. Specially designed seat screw spacer manifolds (with tubing ports) are sandwiched between the underside of the toilet bowl and mounting nuts. The Sniffer system pump generates vacuum pressure to draw air from the toilet bowl using the narrow air channels on the underside of the venting plate and downward through the clearance hole spacing around each of the toilet seat mounting screws.
For compatibility, the toilet must use a conventional toilet seat design with 5.5″ hinge screw spacing, regular seat screws, and oversized mounting holes (typ. 1/2″ diameter). Re-use existing screws or new replacement screws with tapered nuts that are provided with the kit – whichever works best for your application.
