Description
We recommend using LDPE tubing for all concealed tubing runs for improved durability, flexibility (bending radius), and kink resistance.
Use 1/2″ O.D. (3/8″ I.D.) wherever possible to reduce air flow resistance
Use 3/8″ O.D. (1/4″ I.D.) if vertical-up sections are needed and transition back to 1/2″ using a straight push-to-connect reducer.
The smaller diameter is needed to maintain air speed in case of accidental water suction where water needs to flow vertically upward to be cleared from the lines.
Use the 3/8″ O.D. antimicrobial, flexible PVC tubing (supplied with our installation kits) for Sniffer pump connections and air intake shroud connections at the toilet.
Ensure tubing and control cables are properly supported and secured to building structure following the same general guidelines for electrical and low voltage wiring.
DIY Guidance
Save cost by purchasing installation materials yourself.
100′ contractor packs are available in-store at Lowe’s or can be ordered for pickup or delivery through most home improvement stores.
Verify that the material is LDPE and not LLDPE (Linear Low-Density Polyethylene), which is still usable, but not as flexible.
