Low Voltage Multiconductor Cable

Description

We recommend 18/6 white solid bare copper CMR/CL3R thermostat wire for remote Sniffer pump switch control cable.  This cable is readily available, durable, easier to work with, and is capable of carrying more current to support future 12VDC smart toilet features.  White jacketing is suggested to maintain the best appearance for exposed cable at the toilet connection.

A minimum of 4 conductors is required for basic functionality.  If pump control is all that is intended, our standard 26 gage, 4 conductor, UL listed modular (telephone) cable is available for purchase as a kit option.

Extra conductors can be used to double up 12V power (red) and ground (black) circuit legs to increase current carrying capacity and reduce voltage drop due to cable length.  For distances greater than 70ft, increasing to 18/8 for 16/6 may be warranted for future proofing.
