Motion Sensor Kit

Description

Recommended for applications where Sniffer pump noise will not be a concern.  Typically for pumps installed remotely in the basement mechanical room, garage, or attic where pump noise is isolated.

The relay cable plugs into the existing button switch cable and provides a signal splitter for the button switch and motion sensor.  The relay also provides 12VDC power for the sensor and includes a green LED signal indicator that turns on when the sensor is activated.  The sensor can also be used without the button switch so that the Sniffer system can operate invisibly, without the need for user interaction, and without affecting the exterior design of the toilet fixture.

For motion sensor applications, we recommend running the Sniffer air pump using operating mode 1.2 – which restarts the timer instead of toggling the pump ON and OFF when a trigger signal is received.  The motion sensor should be set for the lowest signal hold time possible (preferably < 1 min) and be positioned behind the toilet in a manner that minimizes false triggers.
